Accessibility Statement
What Crafily has done to make crafily.com usable by everyone, what is known to fall short, and how to tell us when it does.

What we aim for
This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA. That is a standard, not a certificate, and aiming for it is a commitment rather than a claim to have finished.
What has been done
- Every part of the site can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, and the focus outline is always visible and drawn in the brand copper rather than the browser default.
- Text and its background are contrasted to the level the standard asks for, and every page is checked for text that falls below it.
- Headings run in order, so a screen reader can move through a page by structure.
- Images that carry meaning have a description. Images that are decoration are hidden from screen readers rather than announced as nothing.
- The hero slideshow stops when you ask your device for less motion, pauses when your pointer is on it, pauses when the tab is hidden, and answers the arrow keys as well as the mouse.
- The page loader never traps you. It clears when the page is ready and releases itself regardless after a fixed ceiling.
- A reading panel in the corner of every page lets you set the text larger, the lines further apart, the links underlined and the colour calmer, for as long as you are here.
Where it still falls short
- The bracelet builder draws your piece on a canvas. The drawing is announced by the name of the stone, the finish and the size you chose rather than described bead by bead.
- Some older uploaded photographs carry a short description where a fuller one would serve better. These are improved as they are found.
- Pages on other people's sites that we link to are outside our control and may not meet this standard.
- A stone is a visual thing. A description can say what colour it is. It cannot be the stone in your hand.
How it was checked
By going through the site with a keyboard and a screen reader, and with automated checks that measure contrast, heading order and image descriptions across every page at desktop and phone size. Both are done again when the site changes.
Coming to the studio
The bench is at ground level with no step at the door. Tell us before you come if you need the table at a different height, more room to turn, or a quieter afternoon, and it will be ready.
Telling us about a barrier
If something here stopped you, please write to [email protected] and say what you were trying to do and what happened. You will hear back within 5 working days, and being told is the only way it gets fixed.
