Find your size

A piece of paper and a ruler is all it takes. Measure once, write the number down, and every piece after that is easy.

Work out your size

Put in what you measured and we will tell you which size to pick.

How you like it to sit

Wrist

Measure the bare wrist, below the bone, and order that number. The room to turn is already in the strung length, so there is nothing to add.

  1. Wrap a strip of paper or a tape measure around your wrist, below the wrist bone.
  2. Draw it snug against the skin without pressing in.
  3. Mark where the end meets, lay the strip flat and read the length.
  4. Round to the nearest half inch and order that size.

Worth knowing

  • Measure at the end of the day. Wrists are a little larger then.
  • A tape that twists reads long. Keep it flat all the way round.
  • Between two sizes, the larger one is the safer choice.
  • Want it looser than we string it? Pick more room in the size finder.

Necklace

Measure your neck, then decide where you want the piece to fall.

  1. Wrap the tape around the base of your neck, where a collar would sit.
  2. Keep one finger under the tape so it is not tight.
  3. Read the number, then add the drop you want from the list below.
  4. Hold a length of string at that measurement against your chest to see where it lands.
What we make, and what each length adds
PieceLengths
Necklace 16 in 18 in 20 in +$3.00 24 in +$6.00
  • Choker neck plus 2 in. Sits against the base of the neck.
  • Princess neck plus 4 in. Falls just below the collarbone. The usual choice.
  • Matinee neck plus 8 in. Lands mid chest, over a shirt or a dress.

Worth knowing

  • A pendant hangs a little lower than the chain itself.
  • Measure over bare skin, not over a jumper.
  • If the piece is going over a collar, add an inch.

Earrings

Earrings are chosen by fitting and drop rather than by measurement.

  1. Decide how the earring attaches: a hook through the lobe, a stud, or a long drop.
  2. Hold a ruler against your jaw to see where each drop would fall.
  3. Check the weight you are used to wearing. Stone drops sit heavier than metal.
  • Sterling hooks Hangs about three quarters of an inch below the lobe.
  • Studs Sits on the lobe with no drop at all.
  • Long drop Hangs about two inches, level with the jaw on most people.

Worth knowing

  • Sterling hooks suit a healed piercing of any age.
  • Studs sit flat and stay put under a hat or a scarf.
  • A long drop reads best when hair is up or short.

Still unsure? Write to us with your measurement and we will pick for you. Ask the bench.
